Aaron Kuehn refines accessibility using design, collaboration, and generous ingenuity.
Aaron is known globally for his typographic artwork: the Bicycle Typogram, Skeleton Typogram and Brain Typogram. Using custom type tools and techniques, Aaron articulates these learning tool depictions of complex systems by modulating typography with contextual meta–data.
In Portland, Aaron was Chair of BikeLoud for 2024, and helped make bicycling a compelling transportation option for more people in the City.
Aaron led a Four Quadrant Candidate Splash Ride for voters, City Council candidates, and Mayoral candidates to improve their navigation of a transformative novel election, and develop connections to bicycle transportation and river access.
Aaron helped BikeLoud receive one of the first highly competitive Transportation Decarbonization grants from the Portland Clean Energy Fund for a program that matches experienced Bike Buddy mentors with new riders.
